The 2nd Annual Turkish Skateboarding Championships will stop in Ankara, Antalya and Istanbul, giving local skateboarders a chance to earn a spot in the Turkish Skateboarding Championships. The Grand Slam events will feature qualifiers for both individual skateboarders as well as the Rider Cup team skateboarding contests. The winning individual team will earn the chance to represent Turkey in the 2016 Skateboarding World Championships in Kimberley, South Africa.

The Inaugural US Skateboarding Championships will be launched during the summer of 2015, bringing at least three qualifying events to cities across the US. The events will include an individual street style contest as well as the Rider Cup team contest. The individual winners and the winning Rider Cup team will earn trips to compete in the 2015 World Skateboarding Championships.

The Kimberley Diamond Cup is a partnership between the Northern Cape Provincial Government, World Skateboarding Grand Prix, and Kumba Iron Ore. Located 300 miles southwest of Johannesburg in the Northern Cape Provinces, Kimberley was the location of the South Africa’s first diamond mine, thus its nickname, “The Diamond City.”

Beginning in 2013, the Skateboarding World Championships have been held at the Kimberley Diamond Cup in Kimberley, South Africa. The 2015 championships saw the largest contingent of countries represented in a skateboarding competition, with over 200 athletes from 38 nations. The championships prize purse is $500,000, the largest single event prize purse in skateboarding.
