At 6’8”, Tim McFerran is hard to miss. A former college basketball player, Tim turned his passion for competition into a career as a successful consumer products executive. Although his success in the business world was rewarding, Tim’s passion was in helping others, so he started running basketball camps in his spare time for some of the biggest names in basketball, like Charles Barkley and Chris Weber. When asked to transition from basketball to run a new skateboarding camp, Tim jumped at the opportunity. While the skateboarding camp never materialized, what did result was the Maloof Money Cup skate contest.
Fast forward five years and Tim now heads up World Skateboarding Grand Prix, which has quickly grown to become the the leading global skate events management company.
Tim’s true passion is helping youth and especially the underprivileged youth in communities worldwide. He has changed the way international contests are organized and managed, providing the legacy of a skate park left behind for the community, but also creating year-round activities for underprivileged kids that are supported by the contest.
Diondra is the chief operations officer for World Skateboarding Grand Prix. She handles all finance, marketing and advertising for WSGP events.
